Description and Mission TRI is three programs in one. It is a mentoring program helping actors, directors, and playwrights form and operate new theater companies. It is a training program offering classes and internships in acting, directing, playwriting, improvisation and theater management. It is also a production company offering presentations ranging from student showcases and staged readings to fully mounted, fully advertised performances. TRI is committed to affordable training, color-creative casting, socially relevant presentations and the participation by a wide range of ages and cultural backgrounds in projects offering personal growth while covering the full canon of dramatic literature. TRI’s mission is fully stated in its Articles of Incorporation:
The specific and primary purposes for which this corporation is organized are to educate and enrich the general public in theater and literature. The means for providing such education includes, but is not limited to: maintaining facilities for instruction and public performances of theater and literary art forms and encouraging and facilitating cooperation between and among theater groups, literary groups, schools and other community organizations.
